KL Marine Consultants Ltd have almost 40 years experience within the seagoing marine industry and a shorebased environment.

We have experience in all positions within the engineering department up to the rank of Chief Engineer on vessel types such as General cargo, RoRo cargo, RoPax, Passenger Ships and smaller coastal and workboat type vessels.

Following a seagoing career, 10 years were spent working as surveyor with the United Kingdom flag administration (Maritime and Coastguard Agency).

This large and varied role covered all aspects of  hull and machinery surveys, PSC inspections, CoC examinations, auditing, plan approval through to new construction including super yachts.

Over the last 8 years KL Marine Consultants have undertaken a large number of projects ranging from Dry Dock support including structural repairs, underwater systems repair management to in-service projects dealing with regulatory compliance, ship management, upgrade projects and environmental compliance impact assessments.

Our many years of experience combined with in-depth knowledge of the legislative requirements enable us to develop an understanding of individual requirements. 

Becoming intimately familiar with the work style and culture of one client, seeing what works and what doesn't and then applying the lessons learned to the challenges of another client provides both tangible results and effective partnerships.
